Walking Works Conference gives people the tools for the job

This practical one-day conference which took place on 13 September 2007, helped local authorities and businesses to encourage their staff, visitors and customers to walk where possible. It provided practical ideas on incorporating walking within travel planning.

The conference featured:

Information about the Walking Works campaign for the coming year, and how your local authority or business can get involved.

Case studies from successful schemes around the UK, where employers have encouraged more walking.

Facts and figures on the benefits, and opportunities, for walking as part of everyday life.
